Each year, PRISM provides families needing assistance purchasing school supplies with a backpack and supplies for their children, free of charge. The Sun Post visited the first of six free produce distributions taking place between July and October. The produce events are one of PRISM's efforts to keep families healthy this summer. Other components of the Campaign Against Summer Hunger include providing additional healthy foods to participants of PRISM's Marketplace Food Shelf, and helping shoppers at the Golden Valley and New Hope farmers markets use their SNAP benefits. Read the full article here:

PRISM is fighting hunger this summer by distributing fresh fruits and vegetables to the public at no cost. The distribution events will be held on various dates throughout the summer at Elim Lutheran Church in Robbinsdale. We’re partnering with Mick Sterling and The 30-Days Foundation on a very special project. A 30 Days House is a home in Minneapolis for families needing a place to stay for a few weeks until they move into newly arranged housing. PRISM will act as the program provider for A 30 Days House, providing case management support and overseeing the logistics of families moving in. Read more about this program.

Golden Valley-based nonprofit PRISM has opened its doors at a new location. Staff say the new space allows them to better serve clients as well as offers a chance to generate more revenue through a larger thrift store.
