PRISM is not located directly on a bus route. Visit Metro Transit to plan your trip.
Our food shelf ensures that children, seniors, and families do not go hungry. Each month more than 1,200 families visit our food shelf.
Our dignified, unique approach offers brief, one-on-one meetings with a case manager where participants discuss and problem-solve challenges, and get connected to additional community resources. Participants then “shop” independently in the Marketplace, choosing personal hygiene items and approximately one week of fresh and packaged groceries that fit their dietary needs and preferences. Items are provided at no cost.
*Currently Marketplace is not open for shopping. Pre-packed carts are ready for you to take right to your vehicle.
Social distancing measures are required during food shelf visits. Participants may visit our Food Shelf whenever they need food. Participants and members of the community may also visit our free shelf, which is stocked with overflow perishables when available, as often as needed.
Additional Food Programs
Farmer's Market: During the summer months PRISM serves as the SNAP Benefits Coordinator at the Golden Valley and New Hope farmer's markets, improving access to local, fresh food for low-income people.
Produce Distributions: PRISM facilitates free produce distributions during the summer and early fall months at an easily accessible location to increase access to healthy food. You do not need to be a PRISM participant to access this program. Produce Distributions are held on-site in PRISM's parking lot from 10am-12pm.
