| RECENT EVENTS Summer Golf Scramble / Silent Auction Event – August 2010 The Annual Golf/Silent Auction/Dinner was held at Golden Valley Golf and Country Club on Monday, August 16th. The setting was perfect, and the participants rejoiced in even more perfect weather. Over 135 golfers enjoyed a most beautiful golf experience (foursomes both morning and afternoon), morning golfers enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner, and afternoon golfers joined them for lunch and dinner. The Silent Auction (thanks to Mary Ann Tellers, Lois Wendt and committee) was a marvelous array of items that drew bidders from among the over 220 diners. Local businesses donated items for the Silent Auction. Many thanks to the Friends of PRISM and the golf committee for organizing the golf dinner and auction and to everyone who helped make it happen! Best Wishes Floral gives a BIG THANK YOU to everyone that stopped by this last weekend with a donation for the PRISM Food Shelf. It is truly appreciated. For everyone that missed it, they will be accepting donations through Saturday, 11/14/2009, so bring in your non-perishable items and get your discount for a Holiday centerpiece! In mid-September, local non-profit farm "Hands for Harvest" started harvesting their potato crop, which is expected to yield more than 10,000 pounds of potatoes. PRISM in charge of the Business / Crafter Fair at Robbinsdale WhizBang Days 2009 This year, PRISM was in charge of the Business / Crafter Fair at Robbinsdale Whiz Bang Days the 2nd weekend of July - it went very well. PRISM raised about $450 overseeing this. Vendors are signing up for next year and PRISM will promote this all year for 2010 – If you or a business or crafter you know is interested…Call Liz to reserve your spot for 2010.
